Why? Why did this demand to be made? Possibly to somebody at Drawing Network, they saw some merit in a show like this, simply was anybody really demanding a prove from this? In case you aren't aware, I'll requite you a quick summary. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs started out as a very popular children's book that I still love to this day. In 2009, Sony decided to adapt the book into a flick that was pretty entertaining and fun. It had a sequel in 2013 that was disappointing and boring.
So after all the time has passed for these movies, CN decided information technology needed to have a TV testify. So the main question is this; why? If this had come out during the fourth dimension of movies, I could sympathise it, but this testify came out in 2017, 4 years after CwaCoM 2 came out. By that point, you could easily find both movies in the Walmart bargain bin. But notwithstanding CN went ahead and had this bear witness made.
Serving as a prequel to the two movie mentioned earlier, the bear witness basically ends upward being another one of those high schoolhouse shows, merely focusing on Flint, his friends, and his inventions. In a way, this evidence kind of reminds me of Jimmy Neutron with some of the premise and the genius principal character and wacky inventions. Information technology'southward a real shame this show couldn't exist as adept as that show.
Many of the episodes usually play out the aforementioned mode. Flint makes an invention, it goes wrong, he has to cease it in some fashion, and the mean solar day is saved. To be fair, there are some episodes that don't involve Flint's inventions going nuts such equally him and Sam babysitting Brent (Yeah, that is real and information technology's as bad as it sounds) or about how Steve wins the lottery. The trouble though is that these episodes play out in a very simplistic way with no real twists or annihilation unique to them at all. All the plots are just boring messes that won't entertain at all.
The vocalization acting is zilch to write dwelling near either. None of the bandage from the two movies come up to reprise their roles, so they got new people instead. They do a decent enough chore with the scripts given, only goose egg nearly the voice piece of work is that good. Information technology sounds like they're only going through the motions and giving lilliputian effort.
The jokes are no ameliorate at all. Some of them are okay, but a lot of the jokes either are weak, or ones y'all can see from a mile. It either does forced in jokes, references, or even some crude humor. None of information technology works at all in this show at all.
Perchance the biggest problem this show ultimately suffers from is how generic and tedious this show is. Everything nearly this show feels then uninspired in every fashion. From the plots of each episode, to the jokes, to the characters existence so bland and one dimensional, and to how everything plays out in each episode. In that location'south no diversity, twists, or anything unique about this prove at all. The lack of inventiveness and overall blandness really makes this show an utter diameter.
Cloudy with a Gamble of Meatballs is a reminder that just because you can brand a Boob tube show based on an animated motion picture, doesn't mean you should. If it'due south not boring you with it'south ho-hum stories, it'due south making you cringe with it's bad jokes. It's an extremely bland show with zilch unique to it at all, and serves as nothing but a terrible and very late endeavor to get in on the popularity of a movie franchise. It was uncalled for and never should accept been fabricated at all.
If you desire to meet a show about a genius and his inventions, go watch Dexter'due south Laboratory or Jimmy Neutron. If y'all want to see a good show based on an animated pic, go sentinel one of those Disney shows like Aladdin or The Little Mermaid. If you simply actually beloved Cloudy with a Run a risk of Meatballs, just stick to the movies and book instead. What has CN and DHX Done to My Favorite Motion picture?
It'south common today to see Hollywood remake movies and Television receiver shows be remade also. I of those remade shows was Cloudy with A Chance of Meatballs, a evidence based on the 2009 film, which I praised in the by. The bear witness has all the familiar characters from the films, Flintstone, Sam, Steve, and so on. Where the testify starts to autumn autonomously though is that the humor in this evidence barely has any sense of humor in information technology and nearly of the jokes in this show are poorly done or are bad puns. The artwork and animation while not terrible, could have been done so much better, information technology tin can get choppy from fourth dimension to fourth dimension, and the primary color this show has is gray, I know this is a ghost town, but why is 90% of the bear witness in grey? Information technology makes it look dead. The characters are barely funny and the humor they really provide that is funny is very rare and its so boring. The simply characters who stayed the aforementioned were Steve and Tim. There was plenty of potential for this show, merely C.Westward.Air-conditioning.O.M. proves that similar most spin-offs, the original is mode ameliorate. Go watch the original films, It'south Fashion amend than this junk. If you practise see this bear witness on TV, brand like Flintstone's food raining invention and fly away from this terrible remake of a classic.

Incredibly sub-par at best, but not as bad as Teen Titans Go
I honey the original Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs moving picture. Hell, I besides think the sequel is every bit good as the original! But this... is far from practiced, merely still acceptable. The blitheness is beneath average, but the colour palette is cracking. The writing needs some comeback, and I understand that information technology'south trying to find its' identity. The characters... are flanderized. And it doesn't follow to the continuity. Teen Titans Go is completely mindnumbingly vapid. Merely Cloudy'due south drawing series and My Knight and Me are still newbies and trying to discover a fashion to create a practiced story.

Babyhood destroyer past Flintstone Lockwood

Now instead of doing the same that I practise in my cartoon reviews, or movies, That's talk almost the the plot than the Pros & Cons, I'g instead going to review two episodes and so I'1000 going to say the things it needs to amend. Anyway, today I'm going to review the most recent prove by CN, Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs, at present if you wanna know my history with the Cloudy movies, I thought the offset film is pretty decent, sure the humor wasn't to funny, but I personally think it's decent and I watched over and over every bit a toddler, and information technology'southward sequel was as well proficient (well, it's mine 10th guilty pleasure, what did you expect), and now let's talk virtually the series, and the episodes that I'm going to review today are the beginning two episodes that I've watched, And the winner is... and Salary Daughter, but before we review those episodes, let's talk about the intro and what I meet, start off, the intro is cypher just a tour at Swallow Falls while Flintstone is ridding a rocket, second of all, in the end of this tour we not merely see the championship, merely we as well see a Ratbird, fifty-fifty doe, the Ratbirds just exist when Flintstone brand them equally an adult, and final but non least, the animation of this prove feels like it was imported from a Netflix show instead an blitheness that is used for a show that'due south aired on idiot box, anyway, let'due south review these episodes shall we, starting with And the winner is..., And the winner is... is about a science fair happening on Flint's schoolhouse and Sam and Flintstone outset competing against each other in gild to run across who the winner is, while this is going on, Sam and Flint start bounding a relationship, and not but we larn that Flintstone and Sam met when they where teens, even doe, they've met when they were adults, we also learn that the mayor is the principal of this schoolhouse and he has a child, expect a minute, he has a child? Didn't he said in the get-go film that Brent (and afterward on Flintstone) was like a child to him, oh god, I'm getting a feeling that these creators accept never watched the first pic, and not only that, we too larn that Earl is a teacher, wasn't he just a cop, and we as well learn that Sam has moved to Swallow Falls, even doe, she only came for an interview, but this is not the worst part, the worst role is the ending, past god, the ending is 1 of the dumbest endings that I've seen, well the ending is almost Flint and Sam creating ii machines that ends up creating a tornado and it's revealed that the winner of the off-white is the mayor's son since he created a sardine sauce fountain for sardines, now I ask you lot guys, does that fifty-fifty has to do with science? No that doesn't! Overall, this episode was very bad and it's definitely one of the worst ways to start a TV prove, now we move on to the next episode, Salary Girl, the episode is about Sam hating sardines, and because of that the mayor and his son fire her, and in order to get her job back, Flint creates a machine that changes sense of taste, and the taste they choose is salary, but Flint doesn't get why they cull bacon, so Sam shows him a commercial that reveals that we have salary braces, bacon flipflops, bacon shirts and any bacon merchandise, Flintstone still doesn't become so he eats a bacon and goes into a drug trip (wich I practice admit, it'south pretty funny) so he changes the taste of the sardines and she get'southward her job back, but Sam turns into a bacon because the machine non only changes the taste, it also turns yous into a food, so everybody of the school turns into zombies that want to eat Sam (wow, cannibalism in a kid bear witness, what a surprise) and to plow Sam back to normal, she has to eat sardines, and she does (simply we can't see), but information technology's revealed that Flint changed the taste over again, this time the sardine has taste of pizza, and information technology ends with Sam getting a pizza barrel and Brent turns into a zombie.
What more tin can I say, this is crap and information technology destroyed my childhood, oh I have one more affair to say, every time Flint invents a machine he says the proper noun of the machine so he says "by Flint Lockwood" and information technology gets abrasive in like the tertiary fourth dimension they use this sentence, simply look at the vivid side, it's not ane of the worst cartoons I've seen, but it's definitely one of the worst CN shows that I've seen.

-Might comprise spoilers- My real trouble with the new series is that i was shocked at how out of grapheme Sam was. I take always loved her for beingness her usually genius self but they portrayed her in a really girlish way that doesn't fit her at all. The plots were simply not exciting and I recollect this is merely a way to exploit these characters and try to appeal to those who have not seen the movies and don't know how far off it is

Both of the movies were amazing and I don't know why they got slammed by people reviewing them, only this was hot garbage! Information technology was hard to watch because of how bad it was. I'm glad it's all over!

Wait i similar the picture but the show sucks. The evidence is zilch like the pic at all and all the characters are very stupid. The blitheness freaks me out, Flints nose looks similar birds peak. the whole testify makes me feel similar twisting my neck. This show has a lot of fart jokes. This show brings back my childhood nightmares And no ane asked for this show. So great job C.N your very "smart" to put this instead of some other show that doesn't air a lot(We bare Bears, Take chances time) And so delight don't lookout this show information technology'll be a waste of your time

Just don't watch it, it is a disgrace to the movies
I am going to be honest I was actually excited for this evidence I love cwacom. So I saw an episode and didn't think much of it other than it being boring. Then today I saw another episode and oh god... why. First of all let me go through the characters:
Flint: Non too interesting he's pretty much trying to be jimmy neutron but not as expert, he isn't cool like he was in the movies.
Sam: God she is just boring! She is girly and uninteresting she'due south not at all like she was in the flick. (I may accept over exaggerated here)
Earl: Man what did they do they turned this guy into a teacher and did cipher with his funny tough personality he'due south now a man child who just teaches and isn't fifty-fifty a main character.
Steve: they actually didn't change much nigh him but he isn't with flintstone every bit much.
Tim: Same as Steve.
Brent: Him and flintstone aren't even friends anymore he is basically the school peachy stereotype.
Mayor: He is the modernistic mr. Krabs OK perhaps not that bad merely he is up there he is i think the principal. Also didn't he ditch everybody and escape in the beginning movie? I wish he would've drowned.
Alright that's the characters at present to the episode I watched. The master joke was farts... why? Just why did they do this flintstone makes a bean that makes him fart so he can add something to the school. And they accept equations and stuff that says grossness can be used to convince someone to agree with you? Over again why did this go into the writers nonexistent heads? Overall its not the very worst cartoon and then I gave it two stars for trying because not all the jokes are farts like some cartoons... cough ttg cough but I would stay away from it if you liked the movies

The show is bad enough every bit is, but information technology just doesn't brand whatever sense in relation to the picture. 1. Why practise Sam and Flintstone know each other in high schoolhouse, yet they're complete strangers in the moving picture? 2. In i episode Sam says her spectacles aren't really prescription, but that doesn't make sense since in the first movie she says that they ARE prescription. three. Why is Sam dressed the way she is? In the movie when she's still wearing her glasses, she'southward like 5, and information technology was around that point that she took them off. So if she's in high schoolhouse in the prove why is she still wearing them? 4. What happened to Sam? Why is her personality so weird? She seems like a girly girl... 5. How does Flint make then many working (more or less) inventions and then quickly in the show, when in the movie it took him a LONG fourth dimension just to make that food thing. half dozen. Where is the mayor'due south son in the movie? vii. Why is Earl a teacher? 8. Why is Flint smart and unintelligent at the aforementioned time? Pick one or do both correct.
Just to name a few.
Some of the storylines are then ODD. They brand me wonder WHERE they came from! Like the episode where Sam plain was a famous horseshoe thrower... Why was that included? They make things upward just for Ane episode and have few running concepts. The running concepts they Do include are WAY overused and now annoying, like the quondam human being. It's not funny. And the animation hurts my feelings! Really, it's not swell. But I go information technology, I mean they made a self aware joke in one episode about trying to go a certain corporeality of coin for the animation and being rejected, so that explains that.
Speaking of jokes, they're rarely funny. The cocky enlightened ones tin be quirky and occasionally earn a chuckle, but that's about it.
And the show is only so Bland. Information technology's like they had an idea for ONE episode and decided to make an entire series because of information technology. Every episode seems like the writers were burnt out while writing it. At that place'due south no passion, and over all the show lacks the ~*whimsy*~ of the first and fifty-fifty second picture. It'due south so dull.
And the overused formula of >Flint makes invention >invention goes wrong >Flint and Sam set it With some "comic relief" (if you tin even call information technology that) sprinkled in here and there.

Similar the Big Hero 6 series connected the motion picture, the How to Train your Dragon series continued and referenced the movie, simply the thing that sets these two shows aside from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is that they weren't to breathy. They didn't seem to be trying to hard. HTTYD the series was far from perfect I'll admit, BH6 the serial has but released one episode but BOTH SHOWS were better that this. If you subtract how proficient HTTYD the series was from how skillful BH6 the series is, information technology would Nevertheless BE Improve THAN CWACOM THE SERIES.
I loathe this show. When I'm bored and it comes on, I turn the tv off and stare at the bare screen because I prefer that to being DISGUSTED past this evidence.

Surprised By The Low Ratings, So On, And And then On :)
I know this show isn't every bit skilful equally the movies just when is that ever the case? Movies have budgets way, way higher than Telly shows do, and they take star talent for voices, and so on. As well I think this testify is meant for much younger kids who don't take the same demands for good story and then on. This testify is fine for piddling kids and we adults don't have to watch information technology (it like many other shows can get annoying with the silliness and over the top sounds and so on).

A show that makes no sense.
Information technology seems as though this serial is more a cash take hold of and using the characters and concept because of its two successful movies. It wouldn't be a skilful idea even calling this a prequel every bit it has admittedly no ties with the picture. Just the name, town and characters. The concept of the show could've been good if information technology wasn't apart of the franchise as it non just makes no sense, but wastes its potential past forcing the franchise into such a serial.

Not as terrible as people make it out to exist!
I'yard simply setting my vote to 10/ten so that this show tin can have a ameliorate score that but a three. In my honest stance it's a 5.five.
I think that the show stays true to the humor that the motion picture had and the style is rather charming! The writing isn't the greatest sometimes but in other times it tin can be pretty alright. It's not a not bad show but it definitely doesn't deserve a 3.0. Information technology is a chip odd that they didn't recast the original voice actors but the ones they have now are passable. Then at that place is the continuity error with the movies that Sam lives in Consume Falls, while in the movies she but simply came there. I tin't call back information technology entirely only I call back Flint saying that he would erase Sam'south retention if she e'er moved.
This review isn't the greatest, but the testify just needs some more than recognition.

Excellent serial! My grandson is but 3 months and it keeps him interested. People gave this a lower review simply it doesn't deserve it!! I hope this will help the rating to become a off-white number not a three 🙃

It's not that bad.
This show is just fun. The recent shows from CN have a bad reputation. Just because they are intended for a more younger audience. Simply I recall the bulk of these shows are ok, some of them are even good. I oasis't seen the original movie even so, I don't call back the prove is better only for a stand solitary affair is not bad. It's not the type of show where are things like graphic symbol development and an overarching plot merely sometimes a show for fun tin can be practiced. The bulk of the characters can exist abrasive sometimes, merely the main ones are fine. I like a lot Sam. She has a pretty character design. Her character is good besides. I like the interactions beetwen her and Flint considering sometimes they feel like real Kids. The animation for the show is cute and is easy to follow. Permit's hope in the time to come I will have kids and I volition be capable to watch this show with them.
